💰 Pricing & cost

Our websites start at £997 setup + £97/month (Starter plan). The Growth plan (which most clients choose) is £1,997 setup + £197/month and includes schema markup, local town pages, monthly SEO reporting, and two blog posts written for you each month. The Authority plan is £3,497 setup + £397/month for full local SEO domination. All prices are exclusive of VAT. See our full pricing page →
No. The setup fee covers design and build. The monthly retainer covers hosting, SSL, backups, security updates, and ongoing support. Small changes are included. Larger additions (like adding 10 new service pages) would be quoted separately and agreed before any work starts. Nothing on your invoice will surprise you.
UK hosting, SSL certificate, daily backups, uptime monitoring, and security updates are all included. There's nothing extra to pay for on the technical side.
For the Growth Package and Authority plans, we can split the setup fee into two payments: 50% on design sign-off, 50% on launch. Just mention it when you get in touch.
Because cheap websites are usually expensive in the long run. A £300 website typically has no SEO, looks identical to every other template site, and won't appear when your customers search Google. Our clients pay more because they get a site that genuinely works. The results back that up. Mainstream Cleaning got 55% more enquiries in month one. Dorking Dog Walking reached #1 on Google in 8 weeks.

⚙️ The process

Typically 3–5 weeks from the moment you say yes, depending on how quickly we receive your content and feedback. The free mockup arrives within 48 hours of your request. We agree a timeline upfront before any build work starts, so you always know what to expect.
For the mockup: just 3 minutes to fill in the form. For the full build: photos of your work or team (or we advise on stock photos), your logo if you have one, a short bio, and some notes on your services. We'll guide you through gathering everything. You don't need to be technical.
Every site goes through a private preview phase before launch. You get a link to review every page. Nothing goes live without your sign-off. We include two rounds of revisions as standard.
Most of our clients come to us with an existing site that isn't performing. We'll review what you've got, identify what's holding it back (speed, SEO, conversion rate, mobile experience), and show you what a better version could look like, all in the free mockup. Sometimes a targeted SEO improvement is all that's needed; sometimes a full rebuild makes more sense. We'll be honest either way.

🎨 Free mockup

Yes, completely and genuinely free. No credit card. No invoice. No hidden commitment. We design your homepage at our own expense because we believe you should see what you're getting before you spend a penny. If you decide not to proceed, that's absolutely fine. You keep the mockup.
It's a full visual design of your homepage, branded with your colours, your services, your local area, and a layout specifically built to convert your kind of customer into enquiries. It's not a wireframe or a generic template. You'll be able to see exactly how your site would look and feel.
Within 48 hours of your request. Usually faster. Philip personally reviews every request and starts the research before any design work begins. That's why we ask for 48 hours rather than promising something in an hour.

📈 SEO & Google

We build every site with SEO foundations from day one: proper heading structure, meta titles and descriptions, schema markup, local signals, fast UK hosting, and mobile-first design. Our clients consistently see improved rankings. Several reach page one within weeks of launch. What we don't do is promise a specific position, because no honest SEO company can guarantee that. Anyone who does is misleading you.
Schema markup is code we add to your website that helps Google understand your business: what you do, where you are, what your opening hours are, what services you offer. It's what powers rich results in search (like star ratings and address information appearing directly in search results). Most local business websites have none. We include it in the Growth Package and Authority plans, and it's a significant ranking advantage.
Google Business Profile (GBP) is the listing that appears on Google Maps and in the "local pack", meaning the map results at the top of local searches. For local businesses, it's often more important than your main website. We set up and optimise your GBP as part of our Growth Package and Authority plans, and at launch we make sure everything is properly connected.
These are individual pages targeting each town or area you serve, for example, "Plumber in Guildford" or "Accountant in Crawley". They're one of the most effective local SEO tactics because Google rewards specificity. Our Growth Package includes 5 town pages; Authority includes 15. Over time, these pages compound to give you wide geographic coverage.

📝 Contracts & ownership

No, all our plans run on a rolling monthly basis. Cancel with 30 days' notice. We keep clients by doing good work, not by trapping them in contracts.
You own everything. We transfer the domain to your registrar, give you the full website files, and hand over your Google Analytics, Search Console, and Business Profile accounts. Your website doesn't disappear. It's yours. We won't hold anything to ransom.
You do. If you don't already have a domain, we'll help you register one in your name. We never register domains in our own name. That's a trap some agencies use to keep clients locked in.

📍 Areas covered

We specialise in Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, and Kent. Key towns include Guildford, Woking, Horsham, Crawley, Brighton, Hove, Dorking, Reigate, Redhill, Leatherhead, Epsom, Kingston, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, and many more. Our most frequent clients are in the Surrey Hills and Weald corridor.
Our core expertise is in Surrey, Sussex, and Kent. That's where our local knowledge and network is deepest. We do occasionally work with businesses in Hampshire, London, and other parts of the South East. If you're outside our core area, get in touch and we'll let you know if we're the right fit.

🏢 Business types

We specialise in two main sectors. Local trades: plumbers, electricians, builders, roofers, landscapers, painters & decorators, gas engineers, carpenters, tilers, locksmiths. Local professionals: accountants, bookkeepers, solicitors, surveyors, mortgage brokers, financial advisers, architects, therapists. We also work with cleaning companies, dog walkers, personal trainers, and other service businesses.
Yes, and this is actually a gap in the local market. Most web designers target trades. Very few specialists focus on accountants, bookkeepers, and financial professionals. We understand that your clients want to see trust signals, credentials, regulated services, and a professional tone, rather than the approachable warmth that works for a plumber. We tailor every site to its audience.

🔧 Technical questions

We choose the right tool for each project. Most local business sites are built on WordPress (with a custom theme, not a page-builder template), which gives clients the ability to update content themselves without touching code. For simpler sites requiring maximum speed, we sometimes use custom HTML/CSS on a static host. We discuss this during the strategy call and choose what's best for your needs.
Yes, and this is non-negotiable. Over 70% of local searches happen on mobile, and Google uses mobile-first indexing. Every site we build is tested on real devices before launch, images are optimised, and we aim for 90+ scores on Google's PageSpeed Insights. Slow sites lose customers. Ours don't.
For WordPress sites, yes. We'll give you a 30-minute walkthrough on how to update text and swap images. Small updates are also included in your monthly retainer, so if you'd rather just email Philip, that works too. We won't build you something so complicated you need a developer every time you want to change a price.
Every site we build includes a privacy policy, cookie notice, and contact form that's compliant with UK data protection rules. We don't use unnecessary tracking scripts or third-party cookies. If you handle sensitive client data (e.g. financial records), we'll discuss additional steps during the build.
