These terms govern the relationship between Techy Business Services Limited (t/a Your Local Web Designer, Companies House 09141085, "we/us/our") and any client or prospective client ("you/your") who engages our services. Please read them carefully.
We provide website design, website build, local SEO, content writing, Google Business Profile management, website hosting, maintenance, and related digital marketing services for local businesses. All services are confirmed in a written proposal or service agreement before work begins.
The free homepage mockup is provided at no cost and with no obligation. It remains the intellectual property of Techy Business Services Limited until a service agreement is signed and setup payment received. We reserve the right to use mockup concepts for similar (non-competing) clients if no agreement is entered into.
Setup fees are quoted in writing and agreed before build commences. For the Growth Package and Authority plans, 50% of the setup fee is due on design sign-off and 50% on launch. Monthly retainer fees are billed on the 1st of each month, payable within 14 days. All prices are exclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate.
Late payment (more than 14 days) may result in suspension of the website and services. We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on overdue amounts.
Monthly retainer plans may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice. Setup fees are non-refundable once build work has commenced. On cancellation, we will transfer your domain, website files, and Google account access to you within 10 working days of the final month ending.
On full payment of all outstanding fees, the website design and content created specifically for you become your intellectual property. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio and to use code libraries and techniques used in your build in future projects. Any third-party licences (fonts, stock images, plugins) remain subject to their respective terms.

We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings. We apply industry best practices for SEO and have a strong track record of improving rankings for local businesses. Search engine algorithms change and results vary by market. We will never use black-hat techniques that could result in a Google penalty.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total fees paid by you in the preceding 3 months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses including loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data. These exclusions apply to the fullest extent permitted by UK law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify existing clients of material changes by email. The current version is always available at this URL.
